já milá praha
feeling praguesick these days. you know, like homesick, except not for home, but for prague. i just keep remembering spending last june sitting at the pool after work and reading poems for my upcoming class. and then packing my bags (rather reluctantly, because i didn't want to leave my friends and go off by myself for a whole month) and arriving in beautiful beautiful prague. after a lonely start, i experienced the best month of my life. if i weren't committed to class here in chicago and finishing up my thesis, i swear i'd drop everything and rack up a giant credit card bill with a trip to prague for the summer. i miss the narrow winding streets. the hot crowded metro. the glowing streetlamps. rain on the bridge. getting lost. discovering new things. writing in cafes and parks. poetry class overlooking the vltava river and st vitus cathedral. going bar hopping with my writer friends. trying to pretend i know how to say things in czech. beer that's cheaper than water. *sigh*
já milá praha (i love prague)
já zmeškat praha (i miss prague)
já milá praha (i love prague)
já zmeškat praha (i miss prague)

Ooh, Beer that's cheaper than water. It's sad that of all the lovely things you talked about, that's the one I was most excited about. I think I need a vacation!

Hello from Prague!
I've just found your article, so I decided to write something here.
Now there is in Prague a big heat, about 31 C/89 F degrees.
I'm writing a blog about Prague, so if you are interested, you can find it at www.abcprague.com
And the last thing: "I love Prague" is in Czech "Miluji Prahu", I miss Prague is "Chybí mi Praha".
Bye, Mirek
